SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST
Ben Peters
Nov 24, 2008

www.ohmint.org

Dear Friends,

Here's an urgent prayer request from our dear ex-marine friends who have been in Africa since they came with us in July.

My dearest friends and family,
It is with the greatest urgency and sincerity that I am asking you to pray and fast for my Father, William Ostrand. In the past few hours he has had tremendous difficulties with his body, including organ failure, immense swelling, and an almost complete shut down of his lungs. The doctors are expecting him to pass away within the next few days, even within the next few hours. But we serve a God that surpasses what is seen, who uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. We are believing and contending together as a family for breakthrough and the miraculous to occur. We are EXPECTING a complete invasion of heaven on earth, and His now captive body to be set free. Please, I am pleading with the blood of Jesus, to proclaim and contend with us for a complete transformation and healing in his body.
Mike and I are still in Pemba and are leaving immediately for Kentucky. We are praying for extraordinary favor to make it home in less that two days. Please pray for our Mom and little brother, Eric. This is the most difficult thing we've ever gone through, and would give everything to be with them all right now. Thank you for carrying this burden with us and also sharing in the victory of His ever increasing grace and mercy over my Dad's body. Please pass this along to all intercessors. Expecting complete transformation,

brandon and mike

REMINDER: iF YOU'RE IN THE CHICAGO REGION THIS WEEKEND, WE SPEAK AT THE PAL BOK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN MOUNT VERNON ON FRIDAY NIGHT, SATURDAY MORNING AND SUNDAY EVENING.

God bless you all,

THANKSGIVING GREETINGS

Greetings Saints,

I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving Day tomorrow. We have so much to be thankful for.

Yesterday Brenda and I were blessed to talk to a dear prophetic friend who had a powerful encounter with God recently regarding the elections and future events. He believes the problems in our economy will produce long-term blessings for some time to come. God has an ingenious plan to turn our hearts toward Him and use us to bring in the great harvest before He returns for another extended visit.

I also wanted to remind those in North Eastern Illinois and South Eastern Wisconsin that we will be speaking at a conference along with Steve Thompson of Morning Star Ministries (Rick Joyner) in Vernon Hills, Illinois, on Friday - Sunday at Palbok Presbyterian Church, 293 Oakwood Rd. Mt. Vernon, IL. We start at 7:30 PM on Friday and finish Sunday evening.

I received the following Thanksgiving Proclamation by email from a friend - Theresa Forkins Phillips. Please enjoy.

George Washington's 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to "recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:"

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789.

God bless you all,

Ben, Brenda, Family and team - Home again.

SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Ben Peters
Nov 22, 2008

www.ohmint.org

Greetings Saints,

I forgot a couple of important items in my letter yesterday.

1. A NEW SOUL IN THE KINGDOM

We were touched by the testimony back in Pusan of a young man who shared that when he brought his father to our meetings, he was not a believer. But before the meetings were over he had become a Christian. The young man was very excited about his elderly father getting saved and we rejoice with the angels over every soul.

2. CONFERENCE IN CHICAGOLAND THIS COMING WEEKEND

We will be speaking at Pal Bok Presbyterian Church in Vernon Hills this Friday night, Saturday morning and Sunday night. The other speaker will be Steve Thompson, a strong prophet from Rick Joyner's ministry in South Carolina. This will probably be our only public ministry before the New Year in the Chicago region.

3. YOUR CHANCE TO HAVE YOUR SAY - SIGN THIS PETITION

One of our friends sent us a letter talking about President Elect Obama's legal right to become president. We want him to provide the proof that he is an American born citizen. If he is not then he is guilty of fraud. The link to sign the petition is:

Please pray as we do our final service in Korea in just a few minutes.

FINAL STRETCH - TIME FOR MIRACLES
Ben Peters

www.ohmint.org

Greetings Saints,

We had a wonderful time in Pusan at the International Intercession and Worship Center for three great days. We were blessed with some precious time in God's presence every service before we ministered and the people were very loving and responsive. Almost everyone who received personal ministry shed tears as God touched their hearts. It was hard to say good-bye to them as it was in the first two churches.

KUNSAN

We have been in Kunsan now for three days. We are ministering in a more traditional Presbyterian church, but they are hungry for God. They heard we had a healing ministry so in addition to personal prophecy, we are praying for a lot of sick people in this church of two hundred or more. I've been waiting on God for words of knowledge after the preaching and God has been stirring up that gift.

We are starting to receive some wonderful healing testimonies. One man had severe back pain. The next morning after prayer he got up with plans to go to get a treatment but realized he had no pain at all. He gave his testimony tonight. It was a great encouragement to all. The people have warmed up to our ministry tremendously and they are pouring out God's love to us. This church, run by two single ladies, has never had a foreign minister before, so it's a big step for them.

At each church we ask the people to pray for America. There's no nation in the world that has the reputation for prayer that South Korea has. I also promise to pray for them as they face many challenges as well.

Tomorrow afternoon is our last revival service in Korea. On Monday morning very early, we head back to the airport near Seoul to begin our sixteen hour journey home.

KEEP PRAYING

Most Christians have accepted an Obama presidency as a done deal and are trying to deal with it the best way they know how. I have received so many emails with various attitudes towards what has happened. Very few consider the fact that no one has really been elected president yet. We have technically only elected the Electoral College Electors, who will vote on Dec. 15, if I remember correctly, to actually elect the president. If he cannot prove he is a natural born US citizen there could be problems. On the other hand, if there is a discovery of massive voter fraud, as has been indicated by several dreams of trusted people we know, McCain could still become president.

I am very sorry I have to oppose the election of a minority president. I would so love to have voted for one I could believe in. But regardless of how charismatic Obama comes across, he is still the most liberal senator and the most pro-death person in congress. His cabinet picks are very liberal also and he can take this country down the wrong path in ways that will take decades to recover from. I'm not worried about the economy. God can fix that easily and actually has a very good plan to do so, given the right leadership in the nation. But unless he has a quick change of heart, Obama will appoint more liberal judges and other officials that will set us up for more judgment.

Some say that God has chosen Obama. In my opinion, that is a terrible insult to God. Americans chose Obama and God allowed us to chose him to show where our values are as a nation. It's only in God's mercy that we have any hope. I believe that as in many passages in Scripture regarding Israel, God will help America in spite of our bad decisions. He wants to use America to help bring in the harvest. Please call on God for mercy as never before in the next two months. Not many people have the information I have shared with you in the past, and not many are praying for the miracle we are asking God for. So I'm counting on you.

Please forgive me if I am offending you with this letter. I just can't quit doing everything I can as long as there is hope. I pray you will all understand.

From Korea with love,

Ben and Brenda

URGENT AND EXCITING PRAYER REQUEST
Ben Peters
Nov 9, 2008

www.ohmint.org

Dear Friends and Prayer Warriors,

It's early Monday morning in Kwang Ju, South Korea. We had two wonderful services yesterday and God is moving on His people. We have fourteen more days of two meetings/day, except on travel days when we only have one. That should be about 28 long meetings in fifteen days. Please pray for us.

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST

I just received word from a trusted prophetic source that God wants us to keep praying in earnest regarding the presidential election situation. The word is: IT'S NOT OVER!!! God will still work wonders and there will be a great exposure before inaugeration day. The battle for LIFE is not over and God will show His power and His wisdom in this whole matter. Expect some turbulent times, but keep praying with renewed intensity. EXPECT A MIRACLE FROM HEAVEN!!!

Many blessings,

THE DAY AFTER THE DAY AFTER
Ben Peters
Nov 6, 2008

www.ohmint.org

THE DAY AFTER THE DAY AFTER

It’s been about 30 hours since my last letter the morning after the election. We’ve had time to think and pray and read many letters and prophetic words. It’s been a very interesting time to say the least. I’m still feeling some grief and heart-ache, but am beginning to get a little understanding of what might be happening from God’s viewpoint. That is occurring in spite of the fact that the prophetic words and letters have been all over the board, from the bitter-sounding doom and gloom prophets to the folk that say, “It’s all good. They get their turn, then we’ll get ours again.” Others say, “Obama is God’s choice and is healing the black/white division in America.

I’ve seen and heard a little of the celebration from those who believe their time has come. I’ve watched African Americans weep with joy and say they finally feel like they belong and the American dream is really for them, too. How can you help but feel happy for them for that long-awaited moment of celebration.

My question is: “What is it going to cost us and them in the long run?”

How many more babies will be murdered in the womb, or half way out of the womb, if all restrictions to abortion are removed, which President-elect Obama supports. How long will it be before we can overturn Roe v Wade if he appoints more liberal judges to the Supreme Court, not to mention the many other high courts in the land? How much more innocent blood will be shed? How long will God hold back the severe judgment this nation deserves?

How much money can America borrow or create to give more handouts to the poor by taxing employers out of business? When will the massive bailouts and pork-barrel spending declare a day of reckoning and produce a major Wall Street collapse? (I do believe in helping the poor, but that’s our job, not the government’s job.)

Only God knows the answer to these questions. I pray for mercy and grace and for revival that will change people’s hearts, so they vote in harmony with the heart of God rather than for their own personal material advantage.

DID GOD GIVE US A KING SAUL?

I have a confession to make. The night before the election we were hosting Michele Perry (Iris missionary to Sudan) in a meeting in Elgin. During worship, I asked God if He had anything for me to give the people about the election. I opened my Bible and a verse stood out.

“Tomorrow about this time, I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel; that he may save my people from the hand of the Philistines, for I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me.” (I Samuel 9:16)

When I saw, “tomorrow at this time”, I looked at my watch. It was about 7:30 CST. I knew many election results would have come in by then. When I saw “commander”, I remembered that John McCain had been a commander in the United States military.

I believed he was going to win and hoped it was a confirmation for me. However, I had a nagging concern that since this passage is talking about Saul, it may be referring to the people’s choice, not really God’s choice. I knew that would have to be Obama. I struggled with this thought, but hoped it would be McCain, who was already a commander. But I knew that whoever won would become Commander-in-Chief of the USA. And Saul, like Obama, had never been a commander, until Samuel anointed him to be king.

I was troubled by this, but continued to believe the other words I had received previously. During the election day, before results came in, I was feeling uncomfortable and fearful. I had to put on worship to try to restore my faith. When the results started coming in, they looked OK, like it could all work out. But things began to turn and by 7:30 pm, it looked pretty bad for McCain/Palin. It just got worse as time went on.

A FEW MORE OBSERVATIONS AND EXHORTATIONS

1. Others have also referred to Obama as our King Saul. Saul won some battles, but couldn’t conquer the Philistines. He was eventually removed because of character issues and disobedience to God. He was taken out of the picture before the normal expected time.

2. One prophet said that we would have two different presidents in the next four years. Many thought it would be McCain with health issues turning the reins over to Sarah Palin. That sounded fine to many Christians. But since it would be Obama, instead of McCain, we could have Joe Biden as president. I don’t endorse this word, but I’m just sharing what I’ve heard.

3. God sees a bigger picture than we do. We like to figure things out and predict the future, but God always has surprises. We have received many words that God has heard every cry and prayer for mercy. He will apply them to the situation in a different way than we expected. We are to rejoice that because of our efforts, others were persuaded to vote for righteousness and they will be blessed because of it. All who cried out for God’s Kingdom to be established will be rewarded and protected from some of the trouble coming on the land because of our nation’s choice.

4. The time spent in fasting and prayer and solemn assemblies has had a powerful affect on our own spiritual growth and prepared us for more effective warfare in the future. It also deepened our relationship with God and opened doors of favor to us.

5. There have been some prophetic words saying that Obama will turn to God and become a great Christian leader. We should certainly pray for this. We should pray that he has a powerful encounter with God that will change him forever and give him the courage to do what is right in the eyes of God, no matter what the cost.

6. God can do many miraculous things in a big hurry and change the man and the nation. We know of one powerful possibility that could spark this change.

7. Someone wrote about the fact that it will be so easy for people to accept the anti-Christ when he comes. Just think of all the things Barak Obama had going against him which the people ignored because they wanted someone on their side. Here’s a partial list:

A. OBAMA HAS NEVER PROVEN HE IS ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT

An Ohio attorney, a Democrat, is suing for Obama to produce his birth certificate, believing he does not qualify as a natural-born citizen. He is ready to take it to the Supreme Court, which could take a couple of years. If he wins the case, Obama would have to step down in the middle of his term.

B. OBAMA IS HIDING ALL RECORDS OF HIS UNIVERSITY DAYS AT COLOMBIA AND HARVARD.

There appears to be evidence that he got a lot of money for tuition from Muslims in the Middle East, who saw him as having potential to infiltrate the American political system.

C. OBAMA HAS AVOIDED TOWN HALL MEETINGS AND PRESS CONFERENCES

He tried to stay scripted at all times and not take a chance on people asking him the wrong questions. Joe, the plumber, caught him off-guard in a rare moment and he revealed his socialistic training.

D. OBAMA’S ASSOCIATIONS WOULD DISQUALIFY ANYONE ELSE

The list of radical friends would disqualify him from working for the government. He couldn’t clear security after hanging out with them for so long.

E. OBAMA’S FAR-LEFT LIBERAL VIEWS SHOULD KEEP MODERATES FROM VOTING FOR HIM.

His votes on live-born failed abortions are so radical, people can’t believe he actually voted that way. They just give him a pass on it.

AND THERE’S LOTS MORE IF YOU’VE BEEN KEEPING UP WITH THE ELECTION

I’m not trying to drag Obama now through the dirt. I’m just making a point. Americans, who should vote with more intelligence than any other nation, vote for their own temporal self-interest, without regard to their children and grand-children, or even their own future. That includes way too many Christians. They want a human savior or king to fight their battles for them. They think Obama will pay their mortgage payments and take more money from the rich and give it to them. He’s their hero and can do no wrong. If he has problems, they will blame it all on the Bush administration.

IN CONCLUSION

I’m running out of time, but just want to say that God wants to use us again to bring about His victory. I don’t agree that America is doomed. We have a valley to pass through and we must stay close to our true Shepherd. We must know Jesus more intimately than ever before. We must repent of our selfish ways and our lukewarm hearts.

We must move the hand of God to bring revival to the land and turn people’s hearts to God so they can experience His love and grace. The by-product will be that they will vote right in the next elections.

I need to go spend time with the family. We fly to Korea tomorrow. Don’t forget to pray for us. We love you all!

Dear Friends,

IT'S TIME NOW MORE THAN EVER FOR EARNEST PRAYER FOR MERCY AND GRACE.

Yesterday was a pretty tough day. Our insides are churning and filled with many emotions. We know people are looking for answers and we're seeking them ourselves. We are still dealing with our own disappointment and feeling that we missed it somehow.

Many conflicting thoughts are spinning through our minds. I'm not sure if we have elected a King or a dictator. I don't know how much foreign money from the Middle East and other places have bought this election. I'm not sure if we are going to see major judgment soon, or if God will visit us and our President Elect with revival. Some tears have been shed and we have to prepare to move on and fight for the Kingdom. Please pray for Barak Obama and his choices for leadership in our new government. He will be our president and we must honor him because, as a nation, we have made our choice to set him over us.

Carl Rove just said on TV, "Out of chaos comes opportunity." Somehow I feel that's prophetic.

APOLOGIES

I guess first of all, I confess on my own behalf and on behalf of other prophetic voices that we were wrong and have not had very clear vision or heard God very clearly. Although most of the leading prophets said that electing God's choice was conditional on the cry for mercy being louder than the cry for change, I was sure that God had heard the loud cries for mercy and He would give us a miracle we didn't deserve. I held on until the bitter end, hoping for some last minute surprises. None came.

It looks like we did have one important victory - that of Proposition 8 in California that overturned gay marriages. It looks like that won by a small margin. Thank God for that.

SOME OBSERVATIONS

1. Our deepest thanks to all of you who did what you could to make a difference in this election. Many passionate Christians did everything they could, but much of the church is still asleep. About one third of "evangelical Christians" said they voted for death over life. Life as "the most important issue" did not even show up in the five top issues. Money issues were far more important to America than anything else. Second was national security.

2. We are proud that our country is open to the concept of an African American becoming our president, but at the same time we can see by the voting pattern that it's obvious that African Americans are still hurting and feel left out. Only a tiny percentage voted for life because they so longed for a president who would identify with them and their pain. The white church has not done its job in loving them and accepting them as equals.

3. We must gear up and seek God to know how to fight the battles that are coming. Our voices can still be heard and there will be opportunities to vote again for many things. We cannot just sit back and accept all restrictions being removed from abortion and other evils that threaten to become legal like we did when prayer and Bible reading were outlawed in our schools.

4. We are seeing the fruit of the takeover of our education institutions by humanists and atheists decades ago. They had a clear and well-stated agenda to bring a revolution through education. It's time for the Kingdom of Heaven to take back this mountain and all the other mountains.

5. I believe God still has plans for America to experience revival and a transfer of wealth for the harvest. We envisioned this working a lot better with Sarah Palin as V. P., but we don't want to limit God. If God does special miracles and gives His leaders a major platform to speak to the nation and the world, we can have a revival in the land.

6. Pray that the above happens before President Bush leaves office as has been prophesied. It could change everything.

7. We have been given a wake-up call as the church of America. It's time to assess our priorities and put the Kingdom of God before our own well-being and personal advantage in business or even in ministry.

PRAY FOR OUR SEVENTEEN DAY TRIP TO KOREA ON FRIDAY

We need special grace for this trip. Last year when we were there major doors were opening to us to speak into some of the leadership of the Kingdom in South Korea. They must prepare to evangelize North Korea when it opens up. They also need to move into the fulness of their apostolic calling as a nation. Pray for the wisdom and anointing to encourage them in this regard. Also pray that we can get everything in order here at home before we leave in two days.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT

We have been encouraged by all your letters and testimonies and information that has been sent. We did fight a good fight together. Thank you so much for fighting with us and other Christian leaders.

Many blessings to you all,

Ben, Brenda, Family and Team

DAYS OF OPPORTUNITY
Ben Peters
Oct 27, 2008

www.ohmint.org

Greetings Saints,

WELCOME NEW FRIENDS

First of all, welcome to our new friends on our mailing list, especially those in Indiana and Ohio. We just returned from Pickerington, Ohio, where Brenda, Val and Lyn ministered alongside the ladies of Trinity Family Life Center. We were treated with amazing hospitality and know that many lives were changed by the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

God has had us ministering in three neighboring states recently, all of which have been called swing states. We have asked God to help us make a difference as we prayed and shared the burden of the Lord for America in these last days before America chooses its destiny.

THE CHURCH IS WAKING UP!

I have received an overwhelming amount of information about the candidates in this coming election. That is good news, in that people are taking seriously the need to to pray like never before and do everything God asks them to do to make a difference. Basically, they are responding to the prophetic word that says God is listening to see if our cry for MERCY will be greater than our cry for CHANGE.

IT'S OPPORTUNITY TIME

We have seven precious days to make a difference. Passing on information, as many are doing, can be helpful to motivate us to pray and share the facts. Sometimes it's hard to verify the facts. A friend just told us that someone at her workplace still thinks that Sarah Palin's daughter was the real mother of their new baby, Trig.

What we can do that will make the biggest difference is to pray. We had someone suggest that we walk our neighborhoods and pray. Brenda and I encourage everyone to do that. Just pray that the family in the home you pass by would vote for life and not death.

Most swing states are close enough to swing towards life. Prophetic words and dreams reveal that God has something of a surprise for the last few days of the race. Your prayers will help this come to pass.

I want to pass on a letter from Dutch Sheets, whom I respect and love deeply in the Lord. I'll also pass on some websites for you to check out.

Think of yourself as an Esther, called for such a time as this to make a difference. May God give you wisdom and boldness to be a part of God's army. I cannot overstate how important this election is. Believe me, we cannot afford to elect a "death" candidate.

God bless you all,

Ben, Brenda, family and team

Dutch Sheets | PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

Due to IRS rules, this letter is from me personally and is not from any of the ministries I am associated with. (Also because of IRS rules, I cannot send it to my ministry database and therefore need your help in getting it out.) Do with it as you see fit, but my desire is that you forward it to as many praying friends as possible.

October 20, 2008
Dear Praying Friend,

In 2000, I wrote the 2nd most important letter of my life-a call to prayer for the elections of that year. I'm now writing what may be my most important letter. I knew the importance of those elections in 2000 was beyond any in my life up to that point and that the spiritual warfare surrounding them would be unlike anything any of us had ever seen. That letter was read by millions of people and I believe millions of them responded by praying. I also believe the prayers turned the tide.

You may question whether President Bush was the right choice; obviously, he has made some blunders in his tenure as president. But two of his decisions alone left no doubt he was God's choice: Roberts and Alito. These two Supreme Court Justices have proven critical in the process of breaking the hold of humanism, death and anti-God agendas that have ruled the Court for 50 years. I assure you that more devastation-the shedding of innocent blood, immorality, decay of the family and an erosion of our godly heritage-has flowed into our nation through that institution than any other door in America . Many times more. The poison allowed into America through their decisions is beyond any of our abilities to articulate.

The reality in America is that you don't need to control Congress or the White House to rule the nation. You only need 5 people - 5 out of 9 on the Supreme Court. And for decades those who disagree with just about everything you and I stand for have been in control!

In Bush's two terms, the process of turning this around began with the appointments of Roberts and Alito. Now, we win some cases 5-4 and lose some 4-5. (We barely outlawed partial birth abortion. The vote of one judge saved thousands of babies from this horror.) We need one more conservative Justice for a consistent majority, then more to build a strong majority.

In Obama's own words, "the next president will appoint at least one, perhaps two or more Supreme Court Justices." He's right. Almost certainly two or more older, liberal Justices are waiting until after the elections to retire, in hopes of Obama winning and appointing more liberals to replace them. And he certainly would. He voted against the confirmation of Roberts and Alito. So did Biden. And Biden led the fight against Justice Thomas several years back, another of the 4 solid conservatives. Make no mistake about it, the two of them do have a litmus test for Supreme Court Justices, and a major part of that test is Roe vs. Wade. McCain and Palin, on the other hand, both have very strong pro-life positions. This alone makes the choice for President simple. To vote for the 2nd and 3rd most liberal senators (Obama and Biden), both of whom are firmly and blatantly pro-abortion, would be unconscionable. Obama has actually said that if he wins, he would like his first action as president to be the signing of the Freedom of Choice Act, which would eliminate every other law against any aspect of abortion (partial birth abortion, parental notification, etc., etc.). And with a democratic majority in the House and Senate, pretty much any legislation he and Biden want to pass will be a slam-dunk. There are many other unrighteous positions they hold but this position alone makes the choice easy. If they win this election, it will set America back decades in the cause of life and the restoration we seek.

Just as many of you do, I too, want to see a first black President, but not Senator Obama. To allow that noble and godly desire, the economy or one's position on the war to trump this issue of life and death for the innocent unborn is simply wrong. The scriptures teach that if we choose first to exalt righteousness and turn from evil, God promises to heal our land (see Proverbs 14:34; 2 Chronicles 7: 14). It is righteousness that exalts a nation, not wealth, prosperity or armies. If we will finish the process of removing the curses of death and anti-God laws off of America by electing a president that will continue to shift the Court, God will grace us with breakthrough in other areas such as the economy, the war against terrorism, etc. My faith is not in a person, and certainly not a political party, for the healing of America , but I know God's word and His ways well enough to know that our decisions do move Him to action or inaction.
Now to the heart of my reason for writing this letter (I realize I am "preaching to the choir"-most of you who know or listen to me are conservative enough to vote for McCain and Palin.) I have not written any appeals for prayer concerning this election because:

1) others have, and

2)I believe our movement has matured to the point that the prayer base of the Church is already praying.

But I now feel the need to raise my voice. I am appealing to you to pray for these elections the next two weeks like you've never prayed for any in the past. Faithfully. Passionately. Boldly. Ask God for His mercy and grace. We deserve His judgment for removing His influence and authority from our government, schools, homes and businesses; for the killing of 50 million babies; for leading the world in the consumption and exporting of pornography; for passing laws to reject His; etc. But mercy triumphs over judgment and in His wrath He remembers mercy. In 2000 we actually lost the popular vote and won the election-talk about grace! Please pray for this grace to be released again. But I am also asking you for something more than normal prayer. For those of you who understand spiritual warfare, I am asking you to also include this aspect of prayer. There is no doubt that we have entered a Daniel 10 moment in time: "Then he said to me, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, I have come in response to your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia'" (Daniel 10: 12-13 NAS). The spiritual warfare in this election is incredibly fierce, and just as it was in Daniel's day, is all about the restoration of a nation. And also like Daniel, we must keep praying until we win the battle in the heavens.

In August of this year I predicted that September would mark a shift in momentum for these elections. This happened with the appointment of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential nominee (who is a true Esther in our generation), but when the economy began its meltdown and the media ramped up their unprecedented attacks on Palin, that momentum wasn't sustained. But we can see it turn again if we approach this battle as the spiritual warfare it truly is and bind the evil forces involved (see Matthew 16:18-19). The reality is that this election can be the breakthrough we need to fully shift the Court (and ultimately our nation) or it will be an immeasurable setback that could take many years to reverse-if ever.

Please understand what I am saying: if we engage in this battle and do what I am asking-in mass-we will win; if we do not, we will lose. I, for one, don't intend to allow the latter. I am in Washington , D.C. now (October 20-22) with Lou Engle and a team of prayer leaders from around the nation to war for this election. Join us! Lose some sleep, miss some meals-pray! Pray like never before for these elections. And as you do, involve yourself not only in petitioning prayer but also in spiritual warfare. Use your God- given authority over the plans and strategies of satan's kingdom. Bind all witchcraft that is working to control the outcome, including ocultic powers that are suppressing truth. Release Christ's Kingdom rule in every way the Holy Spirit leads you.

Don't be deceived and don't lose hope (if you have to, turn off the TV.) It is not too late to turn these elections. God is plenty powerful enough to do so. The real question is will we rise to the level of prayer and spiritual warfare necessary to release that power. And remember, we don't need a majority of Christians who are willing and able to do this-only a praying remnant. We can do it!

Here are some practical suggestions to consider:

1) Fast (a meal a day; a day a week; a Daniel fast; 3 days; 10 days; TV; etc.) and spend the time praying.

2) Agree in prayer with someone everyday for God's will to be done.

3) Form/participate in prayer groups regularly. Churches could pray every day.

4) Take time in every gathering to pray. (Take 15 minutes in every service to pray for the elections. Turn an entire service to harp and bowl style intercession-worship and prayer combined.)

5) Join 2 or more on a conference call and pray for 15, 20, or 30 minutes.

6) Pray on the way to work (and on the way home).

7) Pray before you go to sleep.

8) Pray before church services.

9) Ask God to give you His strategy-He will!

In His grip,

Dear Friends,

With our busy schedule this weekend, this may be our final letter before the November 4 elections, but I won't promise anything! I just might find a few minutes somewhere.

The more information we get from reliable sources, the more we know how critical this election is. But I do believe the people of God have risen up and cried out to God for mercy. I believe the scales are tipping in favor of LIFE and righteousness. But we must not be careless. There is far too much at stake.

Brenda and I have taken two walks across the border into Wisconsin, which could still swing towards life. We walked through a neighborhood and prayed that eyes would be opened and that they would vote for life.

I'm not sure if we passed on this site before, but I don't apologize for sending it again. Here it is:

Please ask God for wisdom to help inform others without a judgmental or nasty attitude. But please share information boldly when God prompts you to.

BUSIEST WEEKEND IN RECENT MEMORY COMING RIGHT UP

Meanwhile the Elgin Revival Outpouring continues on Friday night at 7 pm and Saturday at 6 pm, at that same location - The Eagles Nest on Chicago Street.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF THESE MEETINGS AND FOR THE ELECTIONS - THEN VOTE FOR YOUR PRO-LIFE CANDIDATES.

NEXT FRIDAY, BRENDA AND I HEAD FOR SOUTH KOREA FOR FIFTEEN DAYS. PLEASE PRAY THAT WE CAN HAVE EVERYTHING IN ORDER BEFORE WE LEAVE. WE HAVE SOME REAL CHALLENGES, BUT THEY ARE NOTHING WITH GOD.

Until our next letter - be abundantly blessed,

Ben, Brenda, Family and team
